It has been almost a year since the last time I posted on this blog. Wow! I guess school got harder, which meant I had significantly less time for blogging. I am hoping that someday soon I will have a beautiful and amazing blog like all of the other teachers who I follow.
Now, I am full time student teaching in a 4th grade classroom. It is a huge challenge, but I am learning a lot. These kids push my buttons every day and make me want to pull my hair out, but they teach me so much about what it means to be a good teacher.
I am currently in the process of applying for teaching jobs for next school year. I have applied at a couple of private schools in the area, but am working on the DOE application process as well. I have submitted my application, applied for my license, and completed my first round of interviews. We have a job fair in mid april, so hopefully I will leave there with a promise of a job (assuming I don't get one before that!)
I am also hoping to some how find myself a summer school job. This is turning out to be much harder then I thought, and I am sort of stressing out about it. If I don't get a summer job, then I can't pay rent, or bills, or buy food, or...or...or... See?! Stressful. I'm hoping it all works out, but their might just not be any jobs available.
I can't believe I am only a few months away from graduation and having my own classroom! Hopefully it will be as exciting as I think it will be.
