Well... I am no longer a "student" teacher in paradise. Now I am a straight up, graduated, employed, full time, TEACHER.
At some point during the summer I plan on renaming, redesigning, and recreating my blog. I don't know if that means I have to create a new blog or if I can keep this one- but we will see.
I have a teaching job for the summer and for the next school year! Yay!
This summer I will be teaching reading to 66 total students in grades 1-5.
Next school year, I will be teaching Special Education grades 2/3. It is an FSC class (Fully Self Contained) for students with moderate to severe disabilities. It will be a challenge, but I cannot wait to get started!

Oh My Gosh!
Today is my LAST day of college. My LAST day of student teaching. My LAST day at this school. My LAST day with these kids. I can't believe it is coming to an end. The next time I teach, I will be all by myself in my own classroom. OH MY GOSH!
I have been in college for 4 years. 4 years of my life (and my families' money) have gone into this degree that I am now going to have. I am going to be a real teacher. Not a student teacher, not a teacher in training, but a real teacher. OH MY GOSH!
My family starts arriving next week Wednesday. That means I have exactly 1 week to get my apartment family ready, and to get my roommates switched out so that my apartment isn't such a disaster. One week to clean out my car. One week to not run out of money. OH MY GOSH!
Graduation is next Saturday. OH MY GOSH!
I should be hearing in the next couple weeks about a job for next school year. I was supposed to hear back a while ago, but everything here happens on Hawaii time. So slow. Now They said I could hear this week or next. But my guess is that it will take longer. But in a few weeks, I COULD have a job. OH MY GOSH!
